Sinus headaches occur mainly in dry weather. Humidifiers are used to eliminate the side effects of dry weather. When used around the affected area, sinus causing dryness is considerably reduced. If humidifiers are not available, there are steaming machines that can resolve the dryness issue easily.
The nasal cavity poses a problem when exposed to bacteria or a virus. If any one of them deposits in the nasal cavity, the headaches become more problematic. A sinus infections occurs mostly when bacteria starts breeding on colds and congestions. In such a situation, doctors mostly prescribe antibiotics and decongestants to relieve the patient.
Sinus infections require immediate attention as do other infections. A sinus infection and headache can take form of a life-threatening illness if there presence is not noticed in due time. An infection is less likely if a headache is treated soon. The most important tip is to not let the headache turn into an infection if you want to prevent lasting damage to your nasal cavity.
