Mountain Cedar Fever: Three steps to combatting it!

What better way to spend Christmas than sneezing your way to Church?!
The mountain cedar trees in Texas start releasing pollen every year around Christmas and continue until Valentine’s Day. The people are badly affected every season.

Thankfully, here are some easy steps which you can take to effectively avoid a miserable cedar allergy season.

Step 1: Avoid the cedar pollen
Stay inside as much as you can especially when it is windy outside. The pollen travels fast in the wind and attacks people like you very easily. If you have to go outside, wear a dust mask. Yard work requires it every time.

Step 2: Wash it away
No matter how much you avoid it, you do come in contact with the pollen. To reduce its affects, take some time to wash up thoroughly every time you come indoors. Take special care to clean your eyes. Another sensitive spot is your nose. The pollen usually deposits in your nasal passage to cause sneezing and further allergy. Wash it well with saline solution. You can buy it from your nearest chemist or make your own at home using water and sea salt. Just keeping your nasal passage clear can help avoid cedar fever.
Cedar pollen sticks to clothes as well. So, wash all your clothes regularly and especially those worn outside. Similarly, your pets bring pollen home with their fur. Bathe them frequently.

Step 3: Don’t swap health problems
When curing cedar fever, be careful not to add to your illness list. It is easy to lose one disease and catch another while you are still weak. Pharmaceutical treatments tend to relieve only the symptoms of the fever and lead to many side-effects. Try using herbal remedies that result long-lasting health and even eliminate the allergy completely.

Use a blend of herbs specifically made for cedar fever cure. Single herbs are not as effective as a herbal formula. Make sure the herbal remedy is made in the United States because the quality control standard is a must for such medication.
Reduce exposure to cedar pollen and have a better cedar fever season.
